The grapes come from areas traditionally acclaimed for their fortunate combinations of soil, appearance, and climate; the vineyards are trained using the Guyot Cordone speronato system and are situated on well-exposed soils of varied composition.
The grapes are vinified using the red wine method (a small portion of the ripe Bordeaux grapes with intact skins) with 10 days of maceration and frequent pump-overs; 30-35% of the new wine ages in new and used barrels until bottling, with the remainder in large casks.
Ruby red color. With purple undertones; wine-like bouquet.
