Friuliano is the quintessential aperitif. It pairs well with cold cuts and cheeses and is excellent when served with fish, risotto, and omelets.
More than any other, this wine truly expresses the territory for which it was named. In fact, in Friuli, 'Friulano' (formerly known as Tocai) is practically synonymous with white wine. Formerly known as 'Savignonassa', due to its similarities to Sauvignon Blanc, it is destined to become the flagship wine of Friuli.
The destemmed grapes are gently crushed and subjected to low-temperature contact. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a constant temperature of 16°C. Malolactic fermentation follows, and the wine is left in the lees for approximately four months.
Moderately intense straw yellow.
Its mineral aroma combines with the scent of a cultivated garden (sage, flowers).
It captivates the palate with full-bodied aromatic sensations that evoke not only fruit, but something more complex. It finishes with a pungent sensation of toasted almonds.
