The well-balanced Grumello Valtellina Superiore from Italy is a base wine made from the Nebbiolo, Pignola, and Trebbiano grape varieties. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are carefully selected and crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small, temperature-controlled wooden vats. This is followed by several months of aging in oak barrels.
