This powerful red wine from Italy is made from the Nebbiolo grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery as soon as possible. Here they are carefully selected and crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, the Sfursat 5 Stelle Sforzato di Valtellina ages for several months in oak barrels.
Dense ruby red color. As you swirl the glass, this red wine reveals great density and fullness, which can be appreciated in the clear, church-like crystals on the rim of the glass.
The nose of this Lombardy red wine captivates with notes of blackberry, bramble, blueberry, and blackcurrant. Further exploration of the aromas reveals hints of cocoa bean, oriental spices, and vanilla.
The flavor is full and enveloping, characterized by evolved tannins, great freshness and a very long persistence with fruity and balsamic references.
