Puglia is a long, slender wine region in the southeastern part of Italy's final "boot." To continue the footwear analogy often used to illustrate Italy's shape, Puglia stretches from the back of the heel to just below mid-calf height, where the Gargano Peninsula juts out into the Adriatic Sea.
