Ala Rota is based on a Cabernet Sauvignon from Arenal, which gives it a complex, intense, and very distinct aromatic identity, with notes of very ripe strawberries, rose petals, and currants. The other part of the blend comes from a small proportion of Tannat from a sandy loam soil, one meter higher than the sandy soil. This contributes intensity in color, tannins, and the contrast of aromas of damp stones and menthol notes.
