Gran Malbec Piedra Negra is an iconic wine from the winery. A classic that began production over 25 years ago and continues to offer a complex and elegant expression, it perfectly combines the intense fruitiness of Malbec with the complexity and smoothness of aging in French oak barrels.
A green harvest is carried out to promote the concentration and ripening of the remaining grapes, thus tempering the Malbec's natural vigor. The harvest date is determined by the results of the taste analysis. Total maceration lasts more than 7 weeks. Malolactic fermentation in barrels is followed by aging for 3 months in the same barrels.
Intense purple red.
Initially, notes of red fruits such as plums and bays are perceived, then they blend in balance with notes of coffee and vanilla coming from the wood.
Voluminous, fruity, with notes of violets and elegant tannins. Soft notes of wood are perceptible, and it has a long finish.
