The wine is aged in new French and American oak barrels for 18 months, during which time it undergoes three rackings to oxygenate it. After this period, the wine remains in the bottle for a further 18 months to complete its aging process.
The grapes are crushed and placed in a tank for maceration, which is prolonged until the desired balance in the wine's composition is achieved. The wine is then racked by gravity without mechanical intervention, and after a first racking, it undergoes malolactic fermentation.
