Aged for 18 months in new barrels for the Malbec, 18 months in 400-liter barrels for the Cot.
The Malbec was fully fermented in 225L French oak barrels using a rotating system. The Cot was fermented in 400L clay kilns, atop a rotating system to replicate the same extraction process as the full-bore vinification. This is for extraction through a gentle rotating motion.
The color is a deep garnet red. The nose reveals balanced notes of intense red fruits.
With notes of coffee and chocolate from its time in oak.
On the palate, it is complex and full-bodied, with ripe notes balanced by tannins, highlighting red and black fruit and floral hints. The finish is long, with notes of coffee. The floral freshness of the cot and the elegant natural acidity of Chacayes stand out.
